Our Veterinary Team

Meet the friendly staff at West Villa Animal Hospital PC!

  • Dr.
    Dennis Larsen, DVM
    Veterinarian

Dennis Larsen, DVM is a 1975 graduate of Kansas State University and has been the chief veterinarian and original owner of West Villa Animal Hospital for the last 39 years. A very compassionate veterinarian, Dr. Larsen has treated many, many “animal friends” over the years, and shares numerous memories with the pet owners. For the last 22 years, he has been featured on NTV as the “Pet Doctor” and has done weekly informational snapshots related to animal care or disease topics. Despite his busy schedule, he continues to stay updated with the latest veterinary practices and has a particular interest in orthopedic surgeries. Dr. Larsen is married with three children ( 1 of whom is a veterinarian) and 9 grandchildren. He loves to hunt with his German shorthairs: Lucy, Spice, and Poppy (a new puppy).

  • Dr.
    Lacey Warning, DVM
    Veterinarian

Dr. Warning grew up in Minden where her love of animals began early in life. She worked at West Villa Animal Hospital caring for animals and doing reception work before going to veterinary school. Graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2016, we are proud to have her back as one of our associate veterinarians. Dr. Warning loves all of the veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in Ophthalmology and Orthopedic Surgery. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her son, fiancé and her 3 Yorkies: Dakota, Moose, and Piper. Her hobbies include playing outdoor sports such as basketball or volleyball.

  • LaNita Sheldon, LVT

LaNita says she really enjoys working with animals and creating that special bond with them (which is amazing). When not working, she enjoys spending time with her kids and hanging out with friends.

  • Toni Huss, LVT
    Licensed Veterinary Technician

Growing up on a farm southwest of North Platte, Toni developed an early love for animals. She graduated from NCTA in Curtis in 1997 and says she has loved being a veterinary technician ever since. Toni enjoys hanging out with her daughter and doing fun things together. Her pet family includes: 3 cats, 1 dog, 1 rabbit, 2 guinea pigs, and 1 bird—which keeps everyone busy.
